Rock Shadows and Otter Point - SOLD

36”w x 30”h - Acrylic - The rocks along the shore path in Acadia National Park are in many places pink granite but in other areas black lava, evidence that Cadillac Mountain was once a volcano. The cliffs at Otter Point are older bedrock and called “Bar Harbor Formation”, made up of sandstone & siltstone layers. Gold-edged black floater frame. $5,500

 

Twisted Pine

34”w x 22”h - Watercolor - Said to be the most photographed lighthouse on the coast of Maine, this watercolor shows the mix of volcanic, quartz and granite rock on which it sits. It was used for the face of the newly minted quarter. Black metal frame w/ glass. In private collection.
